NVIDIA GTX 670 Reviewed

Guys do not rush to announce the crushing of AMD just yet, thought it sure likes to me like they are heading to the mat. The 7850 is still a very solid value choice as it comes in at $250 and keeps up with the GTX570. The 670 is an awesome addition but even at the lower price point it is still a $400 card and this is the smaller market area. The 660 should be the first entry into a more mainstream price point and we will see what that delivers. nVidia right now owns the high end but the mainstream right not has an AMD lead. Personally I would love to see the 660 slam in at about $275 or even better at $250 and really rock things up. I am also anxious to see what nVidia brings to the sub $200 game.

Exactly what I was thinking. I am waiting for the 660 to come out. I want to see its price/performance ratio and might pick one up! $250 would be amazing for a 660.

And another important card to watch out for is 670ti.

I doubt it will happen because of how close the 670 and 680 already are. All they would be doing is taking away resources from the other cards.

I've mentioned 670ti only because that card were there in the future lineup of nvidia. I have absolutely no idea about what they are going to do in future.

You still love them for other reasons...

There is not a single thing wrong with this, I mean doesn't the saying go "it's easier to trap flies with honey!" ;)

Another great review ccokeman  I'm a little surprised to see the 670 run slightly hotter than the 680, figured it would be the other way around. But a few C doesn't really matter when everything is already running that cool to begin with!

My PC is AMD/AMD, I am getting a feeling my next one will be Intel/Nividia. (and cost twice as much)

More like better price per performance ratio. How much more will AMD drop their prices when even this card can sometimes beat their top end, for $100 less? Even $150 less if you go to 680 launch rates.

THey are 3 for 3 so far lets see if they can dominate the lower midrange as they have with the upper and high midrange. If the architecture is as modular and scalable as Fermi it should prove interesting
