  1. I have finally gotten into bios. I'm going to send this card off for RMA, everything is working flawlessly, as of right now I can safely say it's this GPU it can't render without crashing. When i finally get a working card, I will know for sure. Looks like it certainly is not the mobo or RAM CPU or SSD. Just a heads up, 5850 does NOT work in the new gigabyte mobo's bios. I will let you guys know from here.
  2. RS 850- amba-j3 is the version. it's a 80plus bronze, I am not sure if it is extreme series. This computer is not new, and has been functioning extremely well for months, the CPU did overclock beautifully with no problems ever not even heat. I will test power supply tomorrow, if it's clean I'll do the sata cable exchange and the cmos clear. But I'm sure it's more a faulty hardware part because this was like an "overnight i'm dead occurance". The worst part is my gigabyte 7950 already has to be RMA'd hopefully I don't have to come down on a gigabyte mobo either.
  3. Oh man I don't even know where my SATA cables are. I'll search for those tonight. Need to invest in a PSU tester. @IVITTH0S I tried the single stick of ram on both, no other comps around that i know of. Maybe this coolermaster PSU was a bad idea to go with, I've always been partial to Corsair but for an 850 this one was recommended for being well priced...
  4. Just tried, negative. Can't get the bios to respond. And I'm on my other comp with the monitor and keyboard right now so that's certainly not the issue. Any ideas of how to first get into the bios?
  5. Two nights ago, shut down the comp. After breakfast tried to boot it up, reached the bios splash screen and nothing. Won't respond, Took out the GPU(which was having problems, with being undervolted on default settings) unhooked all HDD and devices, just keyboard and monitor. Screen then just goes black like my monitor power button goes blue like it's about to start then yellow like it's sleeping. Popped out ram and tried both sticks single, same problem. If anyone has advice I'm listening because this is frustrating as hell. The build is : Gigabye z77x ud5h Corsair vengeance mem @1600mhz, 8gb dual channel Amd 7950 I5 3570k and noctua heatsink OCZ4 ssd 240gb LG disk drive 850w coolermaster psu windows 7 64x
  6. Solved. So when the gigabyte 7950 ships apparently it is OC'ed without saying so. Just so happens that the voltage is not touched, My GPU simply did not have enough power. I manually tweaked voltages to default, my scores a crossed all boards have improved drastically. Quite silly really. Thanks for the help guys, it is honestly much appreciated. New score 8609 combined. that 3dmark 11 is a tough test , some of these guys are 15000, haha what sli and crossfire are taking over these days?
  7. Any idea why i have menu lag and a input sluggishness? I solved the black flicker issue, it was the creative drivers. As soon as i got rid of them i have not had one problem with that.
  8. Installed the 12.7 drivers and CAP 2, Still hideous input lag. I will state that if i stand still the animations and all effects are fluid as water. For me though my mouse and keyboard actions are ghosted crazily. Any clues i can give? benchmarks to run?
  9. Hey man, yeah i just uninstalled all that creative software and the card. The drivers are absolute garbage either way, i will be returning it. No i did not overclock anything yet, this computer is 2 days old. Factory bios even my memory is running at 1333 even though its 1600mhz. I haven't even touched the texture filtering in the catalyst center. PS: solved the black screen issue. Still very low fps, even in the menu of metro 2033, very sluggish. Installing 12.7 drivers right now and CAP 2
  10. Right on, i did get the latest non beta CCC and even tried one older version, perhaps i will try the beta drivers. As aforementioned playing M&B warband and the witcher 2, my screen will turn black just like if a "display driver stopped working" error but it will after a few seconds start backup. Happens over and over. Drivers are 12.6 atm.
  11. May be a dumb question, but have never flashed a bios before. There is 4 files, all with their own fixes. would you recommend i do all 4 of them? http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4139#ov The reason i ask is because my bios right now is f8 and that's the latest on the gigabyte site.
  12. Right now i am running the latest non beta CCC, i am not quite sure what a CAP 1 is unless it comes with the CCC install or is a display driver? No everything including AA is set to application setting. I will try those out, what exactly does flashing the bios solve?

Also played some Mount and blade warband, put it to 8x edge detect easily still around 80fps, until i crashed to a black screen than it resumed... this was over and over it did that. 14. My build: i5 3570k Gigabyte z77x-ud5h Corsair vengeance 1600mhz ram Gigabyte 7950 850w Cooler master psu SB audigy, creative Vertex 4 ssd, OCZ LG dvd drive I am running windows 7 Ultimate64bit. Updated all drivers off of Gigabyte and amd/creative sites, including bios updates from @bios. I have been noticing that performance is just not what it should be, on benchmarks i noticed the witcher 2 on ultra spec easily achieved 50 fps on systems with equavalent gpu. Even if i run the witcher 2 on highspec i achieve roughly less than 20fps with huge input lag. Metro 2033 is the same that it functions and their is not stutter, but its unplayable due to the input lag and general sluggishness. I have fair knowledge of computer hardware and software, but on this I'm stumped. Any advice or help anyone can give will be much appreciated. PS my gpu temps stay around 61c, and my cpu cores don't go over 58c under strain.
