El_Capitan Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Except the graphs produced by Excel look like .. Is there a way to pretty them up? Here's one I created in Excel: http://forums.overclockersclub.com/index.php?showtopic=179185&st=0 Here's also another one from way back: http://forums.overclockersclub.com/index.php?showtopic=178749&st=
SenitaL Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 (edited) Sooo.. the 580's temperatures and power consumption are actually being artificially forced once the card starts to run applications? _TheAlexO Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Sooo.. the 580's temperatures and power consumption are actually being artificially forced once the card starts to run applications? yeah wtf nvidia. if i read that correctly, the 580's cant run furmark/kombuster... that sort of thing? (not accurately at least?)
Flibo Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 (edited) It will change depending on the scores. The order is based on scores not by the name thats why you see it shifting. I don't think that's what he meant. Look at these graphs and keep an eye on GTX 580: http://www.overclock...ia_gtx580/5.htm . The color isn't the same in all graphs and that's very confusing to follow. I suppose that is a mistake? EDIT: @ ShallowBay: Apparently older versions of Furmark work. According to Muropaketti it draws 371W and heats up to 86c with full load: http://plaza.fi/muro...e-gtx-580-gf110,4 I think I read that they don't have any plans to make it possible to remove the limitations (reducing clock frequencies on some benchmark software (OCCT, FurMark)). Thats why the color keeps changing.
El_Capitan Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I'm actually waiting to see an ASUS GTX 580 with their "Voltage Tweak" software - they're saying that they can get the GTX 580 over the 1100MHz Core Clock, or the EVGA GTX 580 waterblock-equipped card - if voltage can be unlocked without the "Voltage Tweak" software, then water-cooling is going to be needed, anyways (imo). http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/37789-nvidia-geforce-gtx-580-review-8.html
Speedway Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 yeah wtf nvidia. if i read that correctly, the 580's cant run furmark/kombuster... that sort of thing? (not accurately at least?) The 580 will run these stress tests, but once power comsumption reaches a certain level, then the card backs everything down, which in turn will have a negative impact upon the scores. Waco Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 As I said before the color will change based on the position of the card. Thats why the color keeps changing. If you don't mind could you send me the flash source and some example data? I could try taking a hack at it (I don't know flash but I'm a halfway decent programmer. ). It doesn't seem like it'd be horribly hard to lock the colors to be respective to the card name rather than its performance.
Bosco Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Our programmer and coder are working with the company that created this software to see if we can do anything. If that doesn't pan out I might pass it on you but if they can't get something fixed in the next day or so I am going in another direction. El_Capitan Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Bosco, if you need my help in going another direction, I could help as well. DBA/Reporting is part of my expertise. I'd just need details of how the current reporting structure works, and how you want to change it, and I could at least give you some options. CowKing Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Regarding the Furmark/Kombuster thing. Have you tried renaming the .exe?
