My First Build

After sitting around watching the hubby build a butt load of PC's it was high time I got in on the action. The genesis for this build was this NZXT Phantom pink case reviewed here on OCC by Blue Panda who is my new best friend since she decided it would look good somewhere other than her house!

Once it got here I finally convinced ccokeman to let me build a system on my own with parts he had sitting around so the costs were kept under control (Yeah Right). What I have below is where I am at now, but I am sure there will be further revisions to the computer. I still plan to water cool the video cards as funds allow, make room for another radiator and possibly do some modding. As a noob overclocker I did need some help with getting a good stable overclock of 4.0GHz on the CPU. After a coolant change (It was pink RV antifreeze) to distilled water with purple dye the temperatures dropped enough to start looking for more MHz. That should be something we work on soon enough.

Specs for this build include:

NZXT Phantom in Pink

Intel Core i7 980X @ 4.0GHz

12GB of Corsair Dominator GTX8

ASUS Rampage III Formula

2 x NVIDIA GTX 580 in SLI

Patriot Pyro SE 240GB SSD for the OS

Seagate 3TB HDD for storage

Corsair AX1200 PSU

CPU Water cooling by Swiftech and XSPC

NVIDIA 3D Vision Version 1

Blu Ray Drive

Sure, its a work in progress but I have the time to make it better. Here are some of the pics as I put this pink beast together. I am woman here me RAWWWWWR! Let me know what you think!

Yes I know the coke sign is there but hey it will make it on the wall one day! :whistling:

More to come as the case and build are refined!

Looks great (well, as great as a pink case with purple watercooling can look :P)! I hope you took advantage of the built in fan controllers for your radiator fans - IIRC they're strong enough to handle 10-15 watts per slider worth of fans.

Threads like this make me want new GPUs.

Aww sweet! Glad it turned out so well. Love the old coke sign in that last pick...

Now you just need a pink mouseand keyboard!

Got the mouse pad but had to settle for a Razer Naga mouse and Black Widow keyboard :whistling:

Sure did! It sucks that the LED's are blue so we might have to fix that!

Not spoiled at all. I'd send you the Toccata mouse that can light up pink...but that's just an insult when you've got a naga. Lol
