  1. I'd put the PSU into my current system, [email protected], 6GB DDR3, 4870. Would be perfect for future upgrades. Currently only have a 550W.
  2. CPU: E6500 GPU: 4870 1GB Mobo: AsRock G41M-VS2 RAM: 4GB DDR2 HDD: 500WD + 250 Seagate + 250 Seagate PSU BFG GS-550 (Upgrading to XFX Pro750W hopefully! )

    Starcraft II

Hey, I have a weird problem running SC2. I've posted about it on other places so I'm just gonna copy and paste it here instead of re-writing it all. I installed the game and played yesterday morning with no problems; excellent game. Yesterday evening I went to open the game but it froze. A black screen came up, the Starcraft 2 cursor showed up but that was it. I opened the task manager and the game was using 50% CPU (1 core) but the RAM usage was hovering around 150mbs. I tried opening it many times since and sometimes it'll freeze at the black screen, sometimes it'll get to the Loading screen with the Marine's face. Sometimes the RAM usage is 150mbs sometimes it's 300. I initially had my system OC'd from 2.9 to 3.3, so I turned it back to stock settings and I still get the freezing. I've also run Prime95 for about 2 hours with no errors. E6500 48701GB 2GB DDR2 Windows 7 64bit
  4. When I first read "Desk mounted" I had no idea what you were meant, but after seeing that video that's pretty awesome.
  5. Singularity and World don't use much RAM at all. It'll usually be about 70% full, while GTA IV tries to eat up every last bit.
  6. I'll try that, and I also forgot to mention that about 60% of these crashes happen after I minimize the game and then try to open it again, it'll open to a black screen and the error message in the middle. All the other times I'll be in the middle of the game.
  7. So for the past month or two every game I've played lately (GRID, BC2, GTA IV EFLC, NFS World Beta and Singularity) have all one time or another randomly crashed with no error message except "This task has failed unexpectedly" Sometimes the game will just crash quickly and the error message will pop up, and sometimes the game will hang with the audio looping for about half a minute then the game will crash. My GPU temps are all normal, same with CPU. I was just playing GTA IV and it happened, in the event viewer it says this. My system is in my sig. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit btw.
  8. Nothing has trouble with Source. 5770 is the fastest and latest in the ones you've named, I'd go with that one.
  9. No problems here either, no improvements that I've noticed either though.
  10. Sounds good. Hopefully the graphics aren't dumbed down for the consoles.
  11. These guys are starting to annoy me with all their patch delays on the PC. The patch was supposed to be released a month ago.
  12. I wish they were showing HL2 EP3 at E3. It seems like forever since EP2 was released. By the time it does come out I'm gonna have to replay EP1 and 2 just to remember what's going on.
  13. Well the problem I was having was that I was trying to OC an E6750, I could only get up to about 345MHz (1345MHz FSB, 1:1 DRAM) On my E6500, I can only get it up to about 300MHz, (1200MHz FSB, 4:5 375MHz DRAM)
  14. Hey, so my motherboard says it'll only go up to 1333MHz, but I've heard you can go past it sometimes. Is this only specific motherboards? Or can all of them do it? It also says max RAM speed is 800 (400mhz) but in the past I've gotten it to 900 (450MHz) with no problems at all. I'm just having a few OCing problems with an E6750 currently and I'm trying to narrow down it down.
