So we get Sega making Company of Heroes? This could be bad....

The game is fairly far into development, so it's likely they'll have very little impact if any at all. Besides, as of now, all the current dev teams for the acquired studios are along for the deal as long as they sign new contracts. So while Sega may now own the rights to CoH, it's quite possible that no non-Relic Sega employee will be involved with the game, aside from publishing/marketing.

I just hope nothing gets screwed up for future Dawn of War games.

What my fellow Warhammian said.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a crowd-funding campaign start to buy Vigil and Darksiders just to let them go indie and keep working.

Well, one franchise may go indie: Indie studio teamPixel wants to buy rights to Homeworld franchise, make Homeworld 3.

TeamPixel has turned to IndieGoGo, a crowd-funding website, to raise the necessary funds to buy Homeworld at an auction of legacy franchises. If successful, gamers would be able to get Homeworld released on Steam and GOG, a version called Homeworld Touch for touchscreen devices, and, this is the big one, Homeworld 3 at long last. TeamPixel is asking for $50,000 on IndieGoGo to make the dream a reality, but some additional stretch goals up the ante even further.

If $100,000 is reached, teamPixel will release Homeworld, Homeworld: Cataclysm, and Homeworld 2 for free on Steam and GOG. At the $250,000 stretch goal, Homeworld Classic appears on the Apple App Store and Google Play for free for the first month. The $500,000 goal means Homeworld: Cataclysm and Homeworld 2 would potentially get the touchscreen treatment, while $750,000 means a free copy of Homeworld 3 to every contributor.

Just stumbled across this statement from THQ; it looks like someone may be interested in purchasing the company as a whole...not that we'll know until next month.

Dude, check dates next time. That's from December. They realized that they could earn more money by selling the studios/titles separately, thus the auction.
