Jklein Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) ok everyone I was Bored Last night so I decided to put together a version of a server sing an AMD cpu and Intel cpu it would be for email sharing resources pretty much simple office use. So here is my version of both: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/jklein11/saved/45eE http://pcpartpicker.com/user/jklein11/saved/45eQ Know I know a lot of people are saying to themselves he should have gone with a 8 core on the amd the reason I didnt is that I wanted the computer and eventually the workstations once they were upgraded to take advantage of HSA and hUMA technologies. Also every indication is that Carizzo when it comes out will be on the FM2+ socket if not then all that would have to be done is that the motherboard gets yanked out and the ram replaced assuming it is going to be 288 pin. Instead of replacing the motheboard cpu and ram. this way not as much expense at once. I really dont think anybody will have an issue with my intel build. If so tell me your gripes lol. I will be using the the second 2tb drive to create a raid 1 configuration so if one fails the other would take over. The worstations for these computers would have the same parts except would only carry 8gb of memory and a 120gb Samsung Evo which I know is overkill on drive size wor a workstation but the evo is an amzing ssd.
