  1. Thanks for the advice. I just heard that there's a patch for the game now, the 1.01a so I will try that.
  2. Hm, if FSB:DRAM=4:12 then 427/4*12=1281, am I right? But I don't know if it is possible with this mobo.
  3. It's not that expensive: DDR2 OCZ 1200MHz 2GB KIT Reaper = $81 DDR2 OCZ 1066MHz 2048MB KIT ReaperX = $74 The question is that is it worth buying the 1200mhz version? How should I set my FSB to get a good RAM frequency? What are the options? I don't know how exactly this FSB:DRAM thing works, I mean there is this FSB strap option, and I can choose between a few frequencies (200/266/333MHz) and the speed of the RAM is depending on that... So with the ratio of 1:1 I can never get the RAM above 2*427 which is my current FSB @ 3416MHz, but now I'm using 4:5, so the RAM frequency is 427/4*5=1067,5Mhz. How can I get 1200+ with 427 FSB? Sorry for being lame
  4. Hmhmm interesting... I've reinstalled my complete system on monday, newest drivers, etc. I don't have an idea... It always happens when it's loading.
  5. Hi! Did anyone had such problems with this game like it suddenly crashed as you entered a lift? Only a black screen and thats all. Sometimes I can't even close the application with ctrl+alt+del. This problem occurs at random time, sometimes after playing for three hours, sometimes after fifthteen minutes! My system is stable, so I don't understand it. There's no patch available yet, so I can't do nothing. Any suggestions?
  6. Okay, okay, but it is safer to use 1066@1100 than 800@1100, is it? Do you think I could use 1200Mhz RAM like DDR2 OCZ 1200MHz 2GB KIT Reaper with this P5K+E6750?
  7. Hi! You can see my current system in my signature and as you can see I do not have much RAM, so I need to buy new modules. This 3.42Ghz is stable with my current settings, so I would like to overclock the processor at least at this frequency. I saw this @ asus.com: http://event.asus.com/mb/p5k/P5K_capture.JPG They achieved this with GeIL PC2-6400 DDR2-800, GX21GB6400PDC, but I think 1066 or even 1200 Mhz modules would do better. According to this picture the P5K is ready to do 1300Mhz+. Which brands and types of memory do you recommend? OCX Reaper 1066/1200? Corsair? Geil?
  8. Theres another version of the HD4850 with a Zalman cooler, the Sapphire HD4850 Toxic Check out the review!
  9. Hi, why don't you buy OCZ RAMs? DDR2 OCZ 1066MHz 4096MB KIT Platinum or Reaper for ~$130 is a prety good deal!
  10. For sure, but I had a fixed amount of money when I built this machine back in December and I thought it will be easier to add more RAM later than upgrading the CPU or something like that... I hope I will be shocked of smoothness in a few weeks I'm at work at the moment too, so I'm trying to save money for it
  11. Hi, thanks for the useful information, I hope that I get a processor from a good series so I can reach at least 3,4. Well I've checked Enermax and f.e. the Enermax Galaxy 850 CrossFire (EGA850EWL-01) costs around $333. Is this an average price? Enermax LIBERTY DXX 620 CrossFire ELT620AWT for $200? 620W should be enough I think. You're not trying to overclock your Q9450?
  12. NFS Pro Street, Mass Effect and Elder Scrolls Oblivion runs very well without long loadings, but I know that I need more mem (edit: +CoD4 and so)
  13. Yep, I thought the Asus P5Q Deluxe is good enough Chieftec 750W?
  14. Then maybe its better to prepare for Crossfire and buy a good PSU already. The problem is that my vendor only deals with ASUS, Chieftec, Enermax, Gigabyte and I didn't found Tagan in the whole country
  15. I totally agree with you, I hate ATI's drivers and btw "The way it's meant to be played" is nvidia Running Crysis smoothly is more then a good reference to me, but I think there's something bad about the engine of it. It doesnt looks that good in medium with 4x antialias, but in higher quality it's just unplayable for me. Yes I know I should get more memory... But Mass Effect runs quite satisfactorily on very high @ 1024*768 with my current system(signature). I cannot imagine the improvement with more and faster memory/processor/GPU.
