Anybody watching Defiance? (SyFy channel)

So is anybody watching Defiance? I had really high hopes for another great sifi show after Battle Star ended a while ago and this could be it. The first episode was really good I think, but I am not liking the current direction with whole "law an order" thing where Josh is mostly just solving murders. I feel like I am watching Walker Texas Ranger in 2024.  I hope it takes a more large scale action turn though. I do also like the CGI and effects, they are quite good, but not BSG good. And the alien races are good, but could be better.

 

 

So what do you think so far about the show?

Watched the first episode, liked it. Haven't been able to watch it since. I'll check it out though

Not a bad show but not great, SyFy once against strives for mediocrity.

I've enjoyed the first two episodes so far. First one was obviously the best (at least the second hour), as it felt like a sci-fi movie with the massive battle scene.

 

It's too bad the game doesn't have a trial.
