GTX570sli Vs GTX680sli

Recommended Posts

That's why I buy everything off eBay. BTW I got my 2x 7950's for about $589. Which after selling my 2 other GPUs on ebay my upgrade should only cost me around $389. :bow:

I have been throwing the idea around about running EVGA 680 Standard W/Backplate 4gig cards in SLI for the performance gain. But I also am looking into the near future of getting my 3rd screen I need and doing my triple screen setup I want to do. But also, thats a good 300 for the card and 150 for the Monitor. Sad thing is, if your going for SLI for triple screens, MY advice and I can say this from personal experiance. LOOK at the dang monitor carefully, make sure the Bezel thickness is small, to thick means to large a gap and it will screw your your mind. As for SLI, you get what you pay for. If you run at 1600, your gonna gain more then really needed.

Logical upgrade (my opinion):

SLI GTX 570 ---> SLI GTX 770

right?

Yeah, that'd be good. The GTX770 has such a sweet price/performance in the high performance sector of...though I'm STILL mad they only put 2GB on it...

Two 4GB models from EVGA:

1. GeForce GTX 770 4GB Classified

2. GeForce GTX 770 4GB Classified w/ ACX Cooler

price difference +100$ from reference model (aprox.)

Yes, it would be a very good upgrade.

Single GTX770 is almost equivalent to GTX680.

So performance improvement would be clearly visible after the upgrade.

Agree, this would have been the real step forward from GTX 6xx series.
