BIOS -> Advanced -> Onboard Devices Config -> Marvell SATA Controller is set to AHCI MODE and enable did the secure erase and the performance is slightly better but i can get the recommended performance is this because of this marvell controller is shi**?
-

-

both but after restart windows was wiling to go only in recovery mode (no safe mode) lucky i manage to do recovery (via 3rd party need to d some minor changesstill but bter als reinstaling the fhoul system) and have update only the marvell driver (no firmware) and i get slightly improvement but still no recommend IOSP read write performance i have read a couple of article about marvell contrller and i now that they are miles away from intel controller but still such a Hugh difference on os disk i have fast over 2x less IOSP read write as recomendete, and on no os disk lil bit over 3x read write performance is there a whey to get more performance or is this max for the marvell controller?
-
did all than u mention, i was trying to update marvell controller and now my system is D.E.D. i hope that i can do recovery and not formatting my system over again
-
Trim and AHCI are enable and Chipset driver are the latest that i can get for a marvel 91xx controller just update to the latest marvell drivers but the random read / write IOSP are still low is this be cuse of marvell controller or im doing something wrong

Hey recently (about 4 mounts ago) i bought a 2x SSD Samsung 840 but after os reinstalling few days ago my read speed is a little bit to low, before system reinstalling i was not having this problem i try to set up some tweaks from this site http://www.computing.net/howtos/show/solid-state-drive-ssd-tweaks-for-windows-7/552.html but that didn't help at all, the performance on D drive (non os drive): the performance on C drive (os drive): and i have some (*trouble ) with windows safely remove devices, he's showing my ssd drives earlier he was not showing my my ssd drives on this

Can i contect a SDD 6GB/S to a mobo that have only a 3GB port
CapPrice replied to CapPrice's topic in Drives and Storage
in short SATA 6GB/s are not for regular user right and on win 7 i would not get 100% of performance from this SDD 6gb/s -
Bord looks quiet nice

have a partition with 60GB on windows 7 64 bit with programs and stile i have 25GB space free so a 80GB SDD will be good
