Faulty Motherboard / Memory Controller?

Recommended Posts

What memory are you using?  If it's got heatsinks on it, the chips don't have the part number or logo of a chip maker, or are factory overclocked, be suspicious.  You want something like Samsung or no-heatsink Crucial modules for testing.

LMC - welcome to our Forums.  We appreciate you jumping in here and attempting to help, but your post is so far off base that I have to recommend that no one take your advice with anything other than a grain of salt.  Any known good memory is fine for testing as long as it is the correct speed, form factor and voltage.  It doesn't matter whether it has heatsinks on it or not, or whether they have extreme performance profiles.
