ivangela Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Good morning all, Not sure if thisis the right palce forthis post but here goes. I'm trying to copy a 5+ GB file to my thumb drive and it says something about being unable to copy this size file because the drive can't support it (I don't have the drive with me right now to give the exact error). It is formatted as FAT32. Is there a file size limit with this format drive? If I reformat the drive NTFS, will this solve the problem? Why would Kingston format a 32GB drive with a system that can't handle large files? OR, is the problem unrelated to the filing system of the drive? Thanks in advance
DanTheGamer11 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Fat32 only allows up to 4gb i think, anything bigger needs exFAT(no ntfs for dem thumbsticks)

DanTheGamer11 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 (edited) ^ & ^^ Ya can use NTFS or exFAT, I just said exFAT since I use that and apparently it's kinder to the flash in the thumbsticks, so really preference I guess Edited June 23, 2014 by DanTheGamer11
