    My best buy has to be my little ALTOIDS mint-amplifier! It's a really well made homespun headphone amp I paid $30 for. ( http://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/164700200/mint-tin-pocket-headphone-amp-with-10x?ref=shop_home_active ) Planned to use it on the road but instead I use it every day in the studio on my AKG K701 as it is way better than both of the dedicated Samson amps I had earlier - amazing little thing considering the K701's notorious demand for input. Kudos to Hesslerk for his stuff.

    Great amp it seems and extremely cheap considering quality, 10-25kHz flat response and great specs for less than $100 is a steal. Infact I just ordered one for myself :-D Thanks for the info.
