I don't see where it can go wrong(well maybe except "Server not responding"), more gore(the blood stays for the whole match), more enemies and looks pretty good too.

If they fix some of the bugs and improve the already satisfying gunplay(which it seems like it is given that they are animating the guns at 242 fps) I'll be chuffed.

Opinions and hopes?

I must be the only person who just cant seem to like Killing Floor for ANYTHING.  I really think it all started with my general hatred of the trader's voice.  I made myself sit down and play it a bit more a few months back (actually looking at steam 7/21/2013 so a few more months than I thought) and after just a few rounds I got bored.  Maybe it would be better with a group of friends, but none of my friends ever wanted to play it at the same time.

I will say this LOOKS like a nice improvement, as long as they keep the gameplay true to the original I think a LOT of people are going to be happy with it.  I might even give it a chance depending on the price of admission.

Killing Floor was a bit like L4D, except you had access to the map the whole time and you have to buy weapons etc depending on your performance in game(good variety of weapons), whereas in L4D you progress through the maps and you find weapons etc.  I'm only speaking for campaign mode for L4D though. And L4D is a bit more arcadey, but both are fun.

Think CoD Zombies on a CS map. The entire map is unlocked. You get an X amount of waves/enemies based on difficulty setting. Each kill earns you money to buy armor and weapons. There are several class types with unique perks such as extra headshot damage, fire damage, and etc. It has zombie types like L4D: general mass mob zed, ranged zeds, melee zeds, tank zed, and etc. You can weld doors shut for holding up areas and heal yourself/teammates with a med kit that is on a recharge timer.

Is it like Left For Dead in a way?

Aside from them both being first-person shooters killing zombie-like creatures, KF is absolutely nothing like L4D.

KF is essentially a wave-survival game, culminating in an end boss. You pick a Perk (essentially class), which provides some sort of bonus stats. Then you kill things, earning money, which you spend to buy new/better weapons at the Trader that opens up for a brief time in between waves.

The gameplay is pretty fun and they have special events for various holidays, but the graphics, models, and animations are a bit lacking; so KF2 should be a major improvement.

That trailer seems in style with the previous game, I wonder what the badass(probably the new boss in this game) talking will be like.

After reading the part in interview/article about random spread modifiers not being in the game etc, it made me very hopeful of a no bs game *cough* CSGO *cough*. The sidegrades sound well balanced if it's like STALKERs way of modifying weapons.

"Zed Time desaturates the world and oversaturates blood, Sin City-style."

I like the sound of that. Zed Time is just a slow-mo event you trigger doing random stuff like headshotting a bunch of zeds. Great for lining up even more headshots and against bosses that move fast.
