Andrewr05 Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Barring a few anomalies with the EVGA 260 I think thats a pretty darn powerful card...
ccokeman Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 You have to remember the EVGA card is extremely overclocked for a factory card. Max overclock to max overclock it is slower. Frobot FTW
dkizzy Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Usually I love the reviews on this site, but this one I find skeptical. You are taking an OC'd card and putting it up against stock timing cards. I would appreciate this article a lot more if the 4870 was OC'd a bunch to really compare the difference. We all know the gtx280 is great but these graphs are biased in the sense that its one of the only ones if not the only one posted as OC'd in the tests. kingdingeling Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 dkizzy, if you want to compare the OCed scores with OCed scores, go into the 4870 review and find the OCed scores there. The test system is identical.
