  1. Hey, so my current keyboard's backlight and f -key have failed, and my mouse is double clicking when I single click, so it's time for some new ones. Here's what I'm looking for. I like my current keyboard, it's got Cherry MX-Blue switches, I really enjoy the tactile feedback and the clickety-click sound when I type. I'm looking for something with a red backlight to match my PC, and good build quality. I'd like the mouse to be black and red as well to match, with a high precision laser. Any suggestions?
  2. Will I be losing out if I don't update the firmware?
  3. Hey guys, I'm trying to update the firmware on my Vertex 3 Max IOPS SSD, but it is my boot drive so that makes it a little more difficult. The OCZ toolbox tells me to set up a bootable USB to do it, so I formatted a USB drive (FAT32) and then I tried to boot from it. It gets stuck in a reset USB drive loop though, and fails do to anything. Any though? Thanks, Niko
  4. Hey guys, I've been trying to watch Netflix, but I've been getting some really distracting tearing about 1/3rd of the way down my screen. I have two GTX 770's in SLI, and am watching on an Asus PB278Q. I have tried taking my cards out of SLI mode, and forcing v-sync, I've tried watching on both Chrome and Explorer, my drivers are up to date, I can't think of anything else to try. Any suggestions? Thanks, Niko
  5. When you have two cards in SLI/CFX the vram is duplicated across both cards correct? Do the cards then unload half of the memory through their bus each? Say the first card unloads the first half through it's bus, the second unloads the second half, effectively doubling it's bandwidth? If that's how it works I can see how two GTX 770 4GB's in SLI would be a good choice. Although if they both try to unload the full memory I don't see how the 4GB version would outperform the 2GB version as they'd both be limited by bandwidth. Sorry if I'm getting to be troublesome. I just want to be extra sure in my purchase before I make it
  6. I'm thinking two 140mm Akasa Apache Blacks for the X60 radiator in pull exhausting out the top. Then red LED AeroCool Sharks on the side and front (two 120mm intakes in front, two 140mm exhaust on the side). Then two black 140mm AeroCool Sharks, one as a bottom mounted intake, the other as a rear mounted exhaust. All the fans will be attached to a controller so I can drop them down to silent levels, and they should still move a metric f**k ton of air
  7. I've actually had some people tell me that the 4GB versions don't actually add that much of a performance increase as they are still limited by the memory bandwidth. The GTX 770 has a 256-bit bus with 7000MHz GDDR5, while the GTX 780 has a much stronger 384-bit bus with 7000MHz GDDR5 (50% more bandwidth). I guess vram without bandwidth isn't of much use?
  8. SLI GTX 780's is a tad out of my price range though at $1100. It's either SLI GTX 770's at $800 or a single GTX 780 Ti at $760 (possibly SLI in half a year or so).
  9. Well, I do have an idea to combat that. I'm planning on putting the side fans to exhaust the hot air off the video cards rather than blow more air onto them. Edit: I live in Canada so my best price on the GTX 780 is about $550.
  10. Awesome, what would you suggest for a fan setup? I'm thinking 2x140mm on back of HDD caddies to blow air over GPUs, then 2x140mm on the side as exhaust pulling the then hot air away from the GPUs, then a 120mm intake on the bottom, a 140mm exhaust on the back, and then my Kraken X60 on top with 4x140mm fans in push pull exhausting. Is there room for push pull btw (about 77mm)?
  11. Well, all cards are with MSI TwinFrozr heatsinks, there would be a two slot gap between the SLI cards, and two 140mm fans on the case door beside them. I imagine cooling would be sufficient. As for PSU, it's 1200W SLI configuration would be approx $40 more, CFX is about $200 more. My system specs can be found in the 1440p Gaming Build thread under System Builds.
  12. I have a GPU budget of approximately $1000 which can either get me two GTX 770's, two R9 280X's, or a single GTX 780 Ti. I'll be gaming at 1440p. Which is the better choice?
  13. Lol, what do you have against internet spaceshipz?
  14. Okay, so I thought I was done, but I'm not 100% sure on the case yet. Looking at the Corsair C70 Vengeance as an alternative, any thoughts?
