  1. I'm looking for a good gaming headset that have good directional sound. Good sound quality would be nice, but i already have a good pair of headphones for music. 200AU budget. At the moment i'm considering getting either plantronics gamecom 777 or Razer Megadolon's. I'm located in Brisbane Australia, so if the headphones can be sourced from Umart that would be perfect, otherwise any good store or online shop will be fine too. Opinions?

  3. built by hand, with a i5 760 cpu and a Evga p55 FTW mobo. attempting to change the frequency by modifying the "cpu frequency setting" in the bios.
  4. Cant change the frequency of my cpu for some reason, it's stuck in "auto". help?
  5. hmmm, guess you could place the ESD protection bag underneath it. was just thinking that might be a risk if your putting in your ram on the mobo's cardboard box.
  6. just bought the parts. due to the AUD reaching parity with USD, everything became so much cheaper, i have an extra $250 to play with. what'd be a better upgrade path? a 60GB SSD? or another gtx 460 for SLI?
  7. Is there any risk of ESD if I put a mobo on a varnished wooden desk? just thinking it'd reduce the risk of snapping the mobo when inserting the RAM.
  8. due to financial stress, pushing this back till next wednesday. i'm definately going to get a sli 460 setup in the future, with a possible i7, frio and whatnot i've changed the video card to a Gigabyte GF GTX460 1G, anyone know how long the warranty is on these things?
  9. what would be a good compound to get then?
  10. i've heard some complaints about bleeding on benQ monitors so just gunna avoid em. might change the videocard to another brand, warrenty and whatnot. the frio is over 1kg in weight and both the frio and the dark knight are huge. sounds noobish but isn't there a weight limit to these coolers before the motherboard snaps? i'd like the psu to have some sort of modular design, for both airflow and my sanity. might get a Corsair HX-750 though at that price is antec really bad enough to justify it? all of this will blow my budget by a cool $100.
  11. for a case, I'd recommend the antec nine hundred two as a cheaper alternative. It's a bit smaller than the twelve hundred but still holds an ATX mobo and a giant videocard. http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/2631001/art/antec/nine-hundred-two-pc-tower.html
  12. going to buy this sometime this week. 13. for Australia, Umart. http://www.umart.com.au/.
  14. apparantly all P55 chipsets can handle SLI but nvida is picky about the SLI stamp. a recent revelation for me which has been driving me up the wall for the last 4 hours as there are so few SLI certified mobo's, with this opening up a world of freedom. anyone know if you can SLI the Asus P7P55D-E? thanks in advance.
