  1. Stick with the OCZ, and spend the money on a part that you'll actually notice a difference from. Besides, It's Obviosly not your ram that your limited by. Besides, the OCZ Plat's are one of the top notch ram sticks anyway.
  2. Going for your A+! Great to hear! The A+ cert is an Entry Level cert in the industry, and a great place to start for Future IT Professionals who want to begin their certification track, for someone who wants to be viewed as a "Power" computer user, and so many other things. Someone with alot of experience and computer saavy should be able to tackle the elements of the two exams with less than 20 hours of serious self study. I wouldn't recomend paying the money for A+ Training if you allready have a strong background in computers. It could bore you once you realize how much of it you allready know! Here's some Extra Advice; Books- A+ Certification for dummies- Really compresses the information, but will defenetly be enough for you to pass the Hardware exam. I personally, and by the sound of many others was very dissapointed in how it prepared me for the OS exam. I was told by the proctor (the person who administers the test) that alot of people who use this book fail the OS the first time they take it (myself including). All In One A+ Certification Exam Guide Fifth edition- This book it THE book if you want the best out A+ Self Study book out. It has Everything and bears the CompTIA Quality Seal, which means that CompTIA approves of the books material, you won't find as many books that have this mark. The real key to self study as a method is Motivation. If you really want it then you'll work for it. It wil most likely take you 1 to 3 months to do this through self study. Good Luck, Get Certified Lastly I have PDF from a site with the exam's broken down and presented as simply as possible. If you PM me I could send you that as well.
  3. there not fighting, there spreading love to eachother! In the lower left corner it says carebear is afflicted by love, so instead of evil spells they probly have spells like "love", and "hugs", and "cuddle".
  4. I've got the Wave Master. It's built to last, tough and durable, altho a little heavier than other cases (since it's metal it's goona be heavier than the cheap-o plastic/aluminum ones). The paint's beutiful. so good that you can use it as a miror in your room if you don't have one. Pull out Motherboard tray is great for easy access and maintenence. It's well worth it. Get the windowed side panel for it too if you want it, I have that too and it looks amazing. The entire case is of the Highest quality.
  5. So I want to move my computer to triple monitor. I want to use lcd monitors so I know I'll need a video card (AGP) that'll have 2 DVI's. I also know I'll need a PCI card as well that has DVI. I do not want to use a VGA to DVI adaptor as that would be noticable on the monitors I plan to get. I work with several seperate applications open at once which is why I'd like more than one monitor. I've worked with dual monitors before but couldn't stand the center dividor. Here are the parts I plan on getting.. (the rest of the pc's parts you can read in my sig) -LCD's http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16824002285 (yes, expensive 19 inch monitor.. I know.. I will change it up to game from time to time) -AGP 8X card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...027#DetailSpecs -PCI card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130255 what do you all think? Any other ideas? Something I'm missing? Also if you could.. point me out to a good tri monitor how to guide.. the one's I have read tended to suck.
  6. X-Com UFO Defence... one of the greatest games ever!
  7. in terms of budget 5.1 sound I'd say stick with the onboad realtek and get an entry level 5.1 system from creative. the inspire system should be fine and on a budget spending under 75$ won't hurt your wallet. I used to use creative entry level 5.1's before I got a job... they lasted me 4 years, and were great with my nvidea soundstream onboard. Look at these... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16836116151 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16836116137 once you start making money move up to an audigy 2 gamer, or equivelant... and then upgrade the speakers again once budget permits....
  8. ya, that's the basic jist of why we bash TT... Most of their products are crappier copies of something else, or when compared to another companies similiar offerings are found worse. Granted they do have some successful products (volcano line).
  9. I own the Logitech quickcam orbit.. it's awesome, and becouse most people have never seen anything like it before all my friends who know nothing about technology are in shock when they see it can move...
  10. I know Hitachi's are great HDD's but this one is ATA-100.... ATA-133 or SATA would be better I think.. Hitachi / 400GB / 7200 / 8MB / ATA-100 / EIDE / OEM / Hard Drive (this is what you were gettin...) It doesn't look like you've got a price limit on this system.. why not go for 2 74g Raptors & raid em together.... THAT Would be fast... and then if you need get a 300g Maxtor for storage
  11. I don't think Linux can see files that are formatted in NTFS (linux is Fat32)....
  12. most TT products are terrible, including that probly.... get a thermalright
  13. Read & love it.... Logitech gaming mouse G5, G7 & a Gaming Keyboard with LCD & WOW! http://techgage.com/review.php?id=2270&page=1 Page1=g5 (gamer) Page2=g7 (wireless Gamer) Page3=g15 (keyboard)
  14. I'm stuck in the same boat your in.... the barton core 2500+ (333 fsb one at least) can oc to 3000+ easy so do that... and then What I did was just get a decent video card.. so then just wait it out till AMD goes DDR2 (next year I think?)...
