  1. i've been using MBM since the thunderbird days... (No. 5 lead pencil anyone?) since i am so used to the MBM interface i havent really used anything else.
  2. interestingly enough i have the same processor and now i am hoping for the same experience. i was able to 2xprime for 12 hours 250x11 auto voltage (1.33 cpuz) <50c and didn't give it much thought after. i never saw a real need to undervolt since my temps are fine at stock settings which i run at all the time. i am now super curious about running an "undervolted" 250x11. ahhh silent possibilities abound if it works. then again, me now wonders how far i can push the processor...
  3. damned so cal lightning. makes me wonder if my surge protector is up to par. maybe time for a ups?
  4. for what it's worth. BIOS updates do sometimes contain firmware updates for the raid "controller".
  5. Try running RTHDRIBL and monitor video card temperatures also. RTHDRIBL is a good windowed application that will still allow you to monitor temperatures while applying a good load on your video card.
  6. I've lurked on this website for quite a while before, during, and after the purchase of my Lanparty. This place is great. There isn't a lot of flaming and most every reply to any thread has been helpful minus the small joke here and there:p . I am an Asus convert, and am looking forward to the offerings DFI has in store for things just around the corner. Note - Please forgive the caps on my alias. I have been using this alias since 1995 and can't bring myself to change it from its original loud glory.
  7. i have an X2 4200+, but have noticed the price drop for the Opty 165 in recent times. Besides the larger cache, does anyone think i can gain any performance from this type of switch? i have pushed my 4200 to 3.0Ghz stable and run at 2.75Ghz comfortably both in temperature and in mind. i don't plan on getting rid of the 4200, rather keep either proc as a spare or build a second machine around one.
  8. I have lurked on this website for quite sometime since buying my DFI motherboard. I did find this thread very interesting enough to register and post a comment. BRAVO to all the patience and advice on this thread. I feel that on any other message board the multitude of questions would have been flamed instantly. Hopefully this replacement PSU will solve your woes and you can get to enjoying that rig of yours.
