can my motherboard?

Snap! Double post I do apologise! :no:

 

(When I first clicked post my PC didn't seem to acknowledge it or do anything so I clicked it again.)

@ Paul, when this happens to me I find after I click post if it hangs just refresh the page and it uploads the post, saves on double posts. :teehee:

I also do this. Never click post twice!

 

I've never double posted as far as I can tell ;P

Sounds like a solid plan.  That is probably your best productivity option.  Not sure what your budget is, but here are a few boards you might consider;

However, I did note that your current board is mATX form factor.  Is the mini form factor an absolute necessity?

Cool, that opens up your options quite a bit.  Full ATX boards will generally be just a bit more expensive, but you'll have a wider range of options to choose from now.  Not to mention more motherboard real estate to play with  :)
