Braegnok Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) I upgraded to the 14.4 RC1 on Thursday,.. and noticed the AMD Audio Driver failed to install,.. seems they dropped the WDM drivers and HDMI audio driver so you need to install them separately as catalyst control center does not include them with the 14.4 WHQL or RC drivers,.. road-runner Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I saw something on the folding forum about one of the drivers causing problems so AMD removed it and put it back up for download...
pdbuzz Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Thanks for the heads-up on that driver, road-runner! I have two systems (out of a remaining four) that can benefit from that upgrade. After installing the new driver on both, I'm seeing an up-tick in the reported scores for the day (108 - 112k ppd) where they were reporting in the mid to high 90's previously. We'll see how it shakes out over the next week! I'm still getting hit with 1.5 to 2 day WU's, causing my scores to move up and down the weekly chart like a butterfly! DexRain Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Now that the new box is up and running I guess I'll put this new hardware to use and see what kind of numbers I can get out of my 290 and my FX-8320
