  1. It seems a bit pushing it to say 'cons: none' since I personally can't help but notice that it doesn't have dx10.1(/shader4.1) support, and that it probably isn't the best idea to now spend 300 on a card that's just a tweaked soon-to-be-replaced generation.
  2. Why the heck use flash to show a static bargraph? isn't flash bad enough as it is? So silly.
  3. Best goto network options select properties of your lan and select 'configure' right under the description of the NIC, then you'lsee an advanced tab and in the list you'll find a setting to force a connectspeed, see if you can force 1000Mbit and get it to work that way.
  4. Geez the manual says it works with 4-pin too, and I'm willing to bet that a lot more than half of the people don't use 8-pin EPS connectors, and lets not even mention the ammount that have EPS 'compliant' PSU's.
  5. My DFI did have the revision sticker but missed the serial number btw, go figure. I guess the stickergirl/guy needs to work shorter hours
  6. ESCD updating just means that the bios at boot checks what devices your mobo/slots have installed and assigning IRQ's and DMA channels and it puts that data in a list which windows can consult.
  7. good idea DragonTattooz. I must say I have my reservation about believing that gamecompany too though, I have seen more than one gamecompany try to deny bugs in their games and claiming they had no complaints while around me I heard people classy lady to high heaven :]
  8. Uhm, who says WD doesn't work with RAID? they just have specialised RAID drives that work even better than standard. Not that seagates aren't excellent drives too. Just stay away from maxtor IMHO.
  9. No you would not I don't think, you got good quality RAM and the expert only has issues with low value ram, mine is running at 2.5-3-2-8 from the SPD and works fine so that "you need 2-2-2-5 initially' story is nonsense too.
  10. Yeah I saw that thing before, but when I saw it installed it looked a bit tricky and clumsy. the heatpipe's length/positioning isn't ideal I think.
  11. since something is causing it it's time to think what else runs during that game, graphics drivers busted? or sound drivers? motherboard drivers? It's a perplexing thing if your story is accurate.
  12. My placement info is based on my experience with the nf4 expert, I just assumed the other boards in the range had it at the same spot. Still, if it's not there nor anywhere else it's either missing or they found a very peculiar place to put it, perhaps on the rear that would be handy
  13. I like how asus and such solved it by heatpiping the whole issue to the other side of the mobo, they should sell those things seperate for us DFI users. I wish they invented a flexible and maybe shortable heatpipe so enthusiasts could work with them
  14. I hear you can theoretically extend and even cable up PCI-e, small help for you of course for there's no known extender AFAIK, but interesting. How can it bumb against your heatsink though, it's below the height of the pci-e headers, it should go over the top of it, which isn't ideal but still.
  15. huh, you say you had bad issues on MSI K8N Diamond, then you say you never installed the drivers on nf4, isn't MSI K8N Diamond nf4? I thought it was.
