I am sorry I don't agree with you.

Ya its true there is a lower bus speed but it does not mean its a con. The 9800GTX still makes a statement over the 8800GTX in alot of areas. But the 8800GTX is still a great card no doubt about that.

After looking at those scores again on that review I stand by my statement.

Look at the COD scores they do not change much at the different resolutions they are all so close which makes me wonder. Time demos have never been that accurate thats why alot of people hate using them.

XP vs Vista is totally different testing and will affect scores.

Don't even get me started on Bioshock so those scores go out the window imo.

You are right the XP paired with an X6800 it is faster I would hope so since its not running DX10.

As for understanding the graph I do understand it. I understand its no where near accurate. I am not saying we are perfect in anyway over anyone else but if you are going to use Intro's for testing and not even bother to test the game itself I will not give that review the time of the day sorry.

I never like seeing a product get no cons, as I doubt there's ever a perfect product, however I tend to agree with bosco and silverfox on this one. We're a predominantly US site, so that's where our price comparisons are going to come from. Prices are different everywhere, and I don't think you'll find a site in the world that'll examine each country's prices and availability. For the most part, the 9800GTX beats the 8800GTX. Although it may drop lower, ever so slightly, in some benches, is 2 extra fps worth an extra $100 to most people? Probably not.

As for DX10.1, it has been shown time and time again that DX10.1 is not going to add anything new (thus why it's called 10.1 and not 11). All it's going to do is make certain things standard. It affects developers and manufacturers more than consumers.

Well at newegg.com (USA based ... same as site), the 8800GTX is as cheap as $339.99, while the 9800GTX is as cheap as $299.99.

Newegg is a reliable source in my opinion, as it tends to carry larger stocks of a wide variety of items and doesn't specialise solely on gmaing items or similar.

So it depends on which continent you live. May be the difference is because of the different warehouse stocks.

I am sorry I don't agree with you.

On very high resolutions/AA/AF in some games it is.

But not the memory bus speed.

I did not make that review. I only posted another benchmark to show that others also got such results and not only ccokeman/overclockersclub.com.

I still don't think the 9800GTX is a better buy over a GTS G92. With a good cooler and low temps you can overclock the GTS to get closer results.
