potatochobit Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I installed my FX CPU and motherboard, rest of computer is the same and now I am getting a bit of stuttering in video games I heard AMD and some games have a problem with core parking? is there an easy way to disable this? I found this video but it looks unreliable Do I need to install the old hot fixes for bulldozer? I am using piledriver though. or are these already sent out in windows update? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2646060 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2645594
cchalogamer Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Here's a program that I've actually tested that can unpark/repark cores http://bitsum.com/about_cpu_core_parking.php It's worth a shot to see if that's what's causing your issues. As for the hotfix stuff I have NO clue as the newest AMD CPU I personally own is a Phenom II X6 1035T

Chris635 Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I beleive this is what you want. Its a hot fix from microsoft. It disables core parking and changes the cpu scheduler. I have a fx 8320 and have the hotfix's patched http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2645594
wevsspot Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I'm on Intel / nVidia and running Windows 7. Disabling core parking really helped reduce the stuttering I was having in BF4. Strangely, it's the only game that really exhibits the problem for me, but it was pretty severe. Even though we are on different platforms, I really think it's worth trying to see if it helps.
