Do you have a (total) budget and what do you want to do with it?

That build can be a lot better if you let us take a crack at it.

Of course it is our opinion and you don't have to agree on it :P

I have the computer case, psu. hard drives, the blu-ray and regular dvds readers/writers (can be used internally or externally).  The HDDs are two (2) WD 640 set in a RAID 1

configuration.  Also, O/S is included (Win7 Prof.).    Operation budget $400.00 -  Parts I am working on is:  An AMD 760K (3.8 stock)  -  A Gigabyte GA-F2A88x-UP4 FM2+/Fm2

(used this mobo for futher Processor upgrade)(N82E16813128655)  -  A Gigabyte GV-n650C-G1 GeForce GTX 650 1GB 128-bit GDDRS PCI Express 3.0 x 16 HDCP (Video

Card fits the Mobo)  -  G. Skill Ripsaw Series 8GB (2x4) 240 pin DDR3 Memory (N82E16820231314) {not happy with this memory being SDRAM}  -  Also, have the CPU Cooler

a 212 plus the case fans.

I would appreciate any help at all  -  Thank you.     Would like to order parts on Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday  -  feel like would be getting better price.

Used pcpartpicker to check parts aganist parts.   Thank you again.

  G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

I'd go for something like this:

CPU: Intel Core i3-4150 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor  ($114.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($48.99 @ Mwave)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 - 64-bit (OEM) (64-bit)  ($90.26 @ OutletPC)
Other: POWER COLOR HD 6970 GRAPHICS CARD ($104.00)
Total: $426.23
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

The 6970 is in there assuming you have a decent 500+W PSU. The locked i3 will be faster than an overclocked 760k for gaming (assuming that's what this system is for). I'd get Windows 8.1 because it's slightly faster than 7 and there's a chance Windows 10 will be a free upgrade from it. If you don't like the Metro UI in Win 8 you can skip it and boot straight to the desktop. If you want the start menu back you can install classic shell.

If you live in the U.S., I usually give pretty good package deals. So if you're looking for a $400 budget, I could offer a delidded 3570K and Z77 motherboard (or i7 2700K and Z68 motherboard) with 2x4GB memory combo with presets already set in the BIOS for various overclocks. With the Hyper 212+ in push/pull, you can easily do 4.5GHz with either setup. Also tossing in either a HD 7950 or HD 7970 (non reference cooler), and keep it within your $400 budget, shipped.
