Bosco Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 No I don't think so. If you are looking for Air the Noctua D14 will do just fine
kennethk Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Bit too pricy for me I'd rather just go water cooling.
Bosco Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Even those have a ton of noise under full load when overclocked keep that in mind
Jklein Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 When it comes to water cooling with a closed loop I would go with the new zalman reserator it will cool up to 400 watts is only 120mm fan space and it automatically helps cool the chipset which can get hot to. Also it is only 129 on newegg. Also it depends on how much you want to push your cpu. When watercooled the fx can reach 5.2 to 5.4 but the problem is that the vcore will probably need to go beyond 1.45 which can damage your chip overtime if your planning on upgrading in a year or so get the FX8350 and push the little bastard as far as you want but if your looking for something to last awhile then I would say decide what is the best stable overlook you want and decide from there if your looking for something like 4.7-4.9 I would say go with FX8350 just because you won't have to push the vcore as much since its stock is 4.0 but if your looking at say 4.5 or so than save the 100 bucks and go with 6000.
