VaporX Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 This is the standard PCB layout for this chip. The point people are making is that Asus has not traditionally done the extra RAM cards.
Muchoman1 Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 no, the asus card is a full custom pcb, its much longer than stock
VaporX Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Still standard in that it is likely just the 680 PCB. Both PCBs have the extra RAM placement on them. Even the production samples.<BR>
FUZi0N Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 There were evga 4gb models on tigerdirect the day it released. I don't have surround nor do I want it at this point so 4gb models for my setup would be overkill..

vandreadstriker Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Looks similar to the stock 670, if just a little longer. Maybe an 8" PCB instead of 6.5". Same layout as Reference GTX670 with some ASUS 'beefed up' DIGI+VRM. From the pictures, the extra length is needed for the extra chokes I think. With the cooler attached (overhangs the PCB a bit) it's 10.7" card if I'm not mistaken.
