bp9801 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 OCC has a new video card up for testing, this time a high-end model from Sapphire. See what BluePanda thinks of it in the OCC review of the Sapphire HD 7970 Dual X - http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/sapphire_hd_7970/
BluePanda Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Wow...this one was a real hit...guess my other reviews are more interesting to readers.
Stonerboy779 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Haha poor blue When I saw it I had hopped red had done it because I wanted his opinions on the difference between sapphires older vapour-x cooling and the dual-x cooling they are using now. Waco Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Blue had a 4850 Vapor-X and a 7770 Vapor-X...I think she liked this one just as much. Obviously she'll be able to fill you in when she gets home.

Obviously she'll be able to fill you in when she gets home. Fair enough although the 6970 to 7970 should be the better comparison. Anyway sapphire makes some nice coolers and very solid cards. d6bmg Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Very good review @BluePanda. There is one thing I can't understand how the max core clock speed of 7950 is 25MHz higher than the speed of 7970.
BluePanda Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 For the 7970 review CCC was used for the OC. I think if you look back at the 7950 reviews from January -- the voltages were increased to up the OC rather than just using CCC. GPU-Z read the values for the OC that way...making up the extra OC that can't be obtained from CCC.
