Bosco Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Man these prices are getting better and better. I just picked up a couple of Vortex 3 120GB drives for $80 each.
IVIYTH0S Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 It didn't do too hot in some of those tests, though my Agility 3 performs noticeably better then my Vertex 2 (SATA2 vs SATA3 maybe??) so if this is faster then that then I'm sold (and the extra 16GB doesn't hurt either). Heck I already saw one of these go for $130 after MIR sickenly good deal
d6bmg Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Awesome drive in terms of cost. I wonder what the price of SSDs will be after 2 more years.

IVIYTH0S Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Well 3 years ago my 128 GB drive cost $320...and it was a great deal at the time! Silly early adopters My first SSD, the Vertex 2, cost me $125 (120GB) probably a year or so after its release. Also I have nice mature firmware, late adopters ftw

Waco Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 A G.Skill Falcon 128. Basically a Vertex in everything but the label. I have the newest firmware from Supertalent on there now (2142). These new drives are faster and cost basically pennies compared to it. If I ever go back to a pure SSD setup the Agility 4 is at the top of the list for now. Coors Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 My 160GB was $500-550 or so when I got it. Don't regret it at all.

Wow your drive sounds like frankenstein lol, "Gskill" with shared components of an "OCZ" and a firmware designed by "Supertalent". My 160GB was $500-550 or so when I got it. Don't regret it at all. Wow, I'd hope not at that price. The drive better lay golden eggs for that lol
