  1. also forgot to mention , i cut out the fan exhaust grilles a bit to help the heat get out of the back of the laptop
  2. i used a heat gun on my dv9700 , went around the gpu in a circular motion for about 5 mins or so . i used a foil tray on mine which i cut out a hole the same size as the gpu chip to shield nearby components from the heat. 2 years on and mine is still going strong
  3. i have both 19" ips and a 19 inch tn side by side on my desk , the ips is so much more vivid and less tiring on the eyes , there really is no comparison ips wins hands down !
  4. this is the dell product page for your pc http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/uk/en/ukbsdt1/servicetag/1B6H5H1?s=DHS
  5. if you have updated your drivers , roll back to earlier ones , graphics anomalies can be tricky . check all connectors , cables etc . remove any overclocks , cpu and gpu use memtest , memory corruption can be an issue might be worth swapping out psu if you have a spare to test run it in safe mode , see if you still get problems sorry if this list is a bit random but pinning it down can be real hard , i wish you luck
  6. 320.18 the ones that had the "oh no my cards on fire " problem?
  7. its the drivers , 320.49 has lots of known freezing and crashing issues . i would try beta drivers or try 314.07 as they are the most stable
  8. ha ! i shut mine down straight after gaming , temps hitting 60-70 celsius and have had no problems.
  9. amd fx 4 4300 http://www.ebuyer.com/409192-amd-fx-4300-3-8ghz-socket-am3-8mb-cache-retail-boxed-processor-fd4300wmhkbox decent gpu , gtx 650 ti ? http://www.ebuyer.com/509674-msi-nvidia-gtx-650ti-928mhz-5400mhz-1024mb-128-bit-ddr5-hdmi-dvi-d-fan-n650ti-1gd5-v1 budget case ocz modxtreme power supply cheap ssd 8 gig memory mdi range mobo
  10. if it doesnt show on print screen , id say bad monitor or cable , try another monitor first !
  11. them camber junkies must hate the rain and have a lot of spare tires !
  12. use evga precision x or similar to over ride the fan speed and set to max speed when gaming !
  13. i would definitely try removing the cpu again and look across all the pins side on and double check that all the pins are straight , then pull everything out - memory gpu and power connectors and re-seat them all . if that doesn't work try a substitute cpu if you have one and see how that goes . it pays to check everything over thoroughly and also it might sound silly but have you tried resetting the bios or changing the bios battery . i hope you get it sorted dude
