If anyone has been holding out on Skyrim for some unknown reason, the Legendary Edition arrives tomorrow in the US for $60. Europe gets it on Friday.

I recently reinstalled Skyrim again and want to do more serious mods.  So here are the mods I have:  In addition to those I am also using

Xenius Character Enhancement

No More Blocky Faces

Better Beast Races

Realistic Sun for Climates of Tamriel and Vanilla

Grass Field

So everything seems to run fine.  I have had a few crashes to desktop.  I have been looking around on forums and have seen people saying a 4GB Video card might solve the problems.

I have also run LOOT and BOSS to optiimize my MOD order.

What do you guys think?

It does look good, just some reason it gave me issues. Coulda been issues with an older version.

I'm running this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51188/ to help make things a little nicer when there's snow out. Along with this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/607/ because you need to, lol.

Well, I installed my EVGA 780 FTW and it handles my mods SIGNIFICANTLY better than the 670 FTW.  I'm pinned at 60fps and the lagging I experienced in certain areas is gone.  I knew there would be improvememnt but it was much greater than I thought.

Huh, awesome. Maybe I'll grab the latest version of the dynamic snow mod to see how it is. Always nice to have a video card upgrade bump up a game to more playable settings. I had something similar going from a pair of HD 5770s to a single GTX 580.

Once I installed the Grass Field mod the fps went in the tank.  The 3D grass looks so good I didn't want to give it up.  The 2k textures definitely dropped me but that Grass mod really hurt the frames.  Game looks so good now.  It's like playing a brand new game.  I still hate the dwemer ruins though. :wallbash:
