  1. First, what is your ram's rated timings? Second, running 1:1 is the best configuration. I would try to run your FSB at 400mHz with your ram at a 1:1(linked/synched) giving a speed of 800mHz with 4.0,4,4,12,1t. If you need to, bump your ram voltage towards 2.0v.
  2. I recommend Corsair XMS2 5400 675MHz. Super cheap and can overclock to 1000MHz @ 5.0,5,5,15,2t.
  3. Auzentech Xplosion or Merridian if you own a nice home theater reciever(DTS Connect).
  4. This is what happens when a Nintendo fanboy goes to culinary school.
  5. Intel C2D processors with X in the name have "unlocked" multipliers(e.g. x6800 or qx6850).
  6. So no bios or post codes correct? Are you using a PS/2 mouse and keyboard? If so make sure they aren't backwards.
  7. 1.SNES (DonkeyKongCountry/SuperMarioWorld/RockNRollRacing/StarFox/SuperGhoulsNGhosts/Zelda) 2.N64 (Goldeneye/PerfectDark/BanjoKazooie/MarioKart/SuperMario/MarioParty/Waverace/Zelda:Ocarina) 3.GameBoy (MortalKombat/Zelda/SuperMario:SixCoins/JurrassicPark)
  8. 4 Hitachi 80GB 7200rpm Sata 3.0 in RAID0 (64k block size) (Quick Bench)
  9. YDK- To oc the ram you need to head to this page in the bios. When you run "linked" the memory and cpu run at the same FSB. From there you can adjust the memory ratio which will set your ram to run faster at various ratios. Currently your ration is set at 5:6. You can choose to run "unlinked" which allows you to set the mem at what ever speed you wish, thus creating a special ratio. The third option is to run "linked/synched" which sets your cpu and ram at the same FSB running them at a ratio of 1:1, which in my opinion is the optimal configuration. Memory performance is based on bandwidth, so the higher the FSB, the better your scores will be. But at a FSB of 333MHz, if you run linked/synched your memory would be clocked at 667MHz. So if you do not wish to run at a higher FSB, go with unlinked. Your cpu voltage is a tad bit high for such a mild overclock, you should be able to lower it to around 1.35v. That should lower your core temp, but as it is, your not in danger. Just make sure to keep your temps below 65*C, keeping it below 60*C at load is your goal. Good luck.
  10. Your core temp is way to high. Back it down to 1.45 or less, that should be adeqaute. I suggest running your cpu linked and synched with your memory. It will increase stability when you run them at a 1:1 ratio. Also 1.4v for the FSB should be enough, and run the spp at 1.45v, the mcp at 1.55v, and HT at 1.45v. I need some more info. Is your 680i an AR or A1? What BIOS are you running? P30? What are the timings of your memory? I doubt you hit your ceiling with the cpu or the board. Good luck.
