  1. Well first off, the X52 was discontinued. Turtlebeach doesn't even have it on their website anymore. From what I remember, it was a very good headset, but you really needed a powerful sound card to drive the speakers to their max abilities. As for the HPA2, I am a proud owner of two sets--one at home, one in my office. This is quite simply the best gaming headset for use with 5.1 sound cards on the market. I've tested a number of these out there, including Razer, Steel Series and Tritton--and the HPA2 absolutely stands apart in terms of sound quality, build construction (durability), design and price. The sound is pleasant to the ear and can really be jacked up when you need that extra oomph. One aspect that I particularly like about the HPA2 is that it's skeleton is constructed of a lightweight metal--so it can take much more of a beating than any other headset on the market. If you shop around, you can easily find the HPA2 for around $70-$80 or so. You might want to wait for Black Friday to see if Turtlebeach is offering any deals btw. Oh and, I found this video extremely helpful when I was comparing 5.1 headsets... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrCI0xF1bvg
  2. Is your PC sitting on the floor or do you have it up on a desk. A friend of mine used to have a very similar problem with his mic output, which turned out to be nothing more than static electricity build-up. Once he moved the PC on top of his desk, the issue disappeared. Odd, huh?
  3. Interesting. I actually own a DSS from Turtlebeach and have to say that it has been nothing short of impressive. I'm wondering if the reviewer had it hooked up and/or configured correctly. Based on what he was saying about the surround sound not being as accurate as he would have liked, I'm assuming that he was getting Dolby Pro Logic, not Dolby Digital. It would have helped if he mentioned in the review what the LED status read while he was formulating his opinions. Also, wouldn't it have been helpful to use a comparison with other products that use Dolby Headphone? For example, I also have an Astro MixAmp--and that performs exactly the same as the Turtlebeach DSS (movies, PC games, console games, music). Obviously it would have also been helpful to use this processor on a console since that would ensure the correct signal was feeding through to the device.
  4. This game is either going to be absolutely epic...or a complete flop. Based on the gameplay clips that are out there, it does look like it'll be good tough.
  5. This game looks like it'll be incredibly fun...especially the multiplayer!
  6. 1- At the top of the Firefox window on the menu bar, click on the Tools > Firefox > Edit menu, and select Options > Preferences. 2- Select Advanced 3- Click the General tab 4- Select "Check my spelling as I type" option.
  7. Just cleaned mine out a week ago. It's like regular maintenance on a car.
  8. Funny you mention the H233H--I have one as well and am equally as satisfied with it. Highly recommended!
