  1. Yeah I'm just gonna switch back to 3gb/s Thanks for the help!
  2. Yeah, it's in the right port. Should I use IDE or AHCI?
  3. Thanks for the reply. And do you mean if I have them connected properly?
  4. Hi, I've been losing my mind trying to figure out how to get the 6gb/s to work correctly on my motherboard. For some reason my ssd speeds are slower in the 6gb port than the 3gb. I'll get up to 250mb/s on all the other ports and the 6gb/s ports only gets a max of 100mb/s. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know. This is my motherboard: http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3449#ov and this is my ssd: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167093 Thank you!
  5. Yea that's what I was thinking. I've heard some people say that you should have it closest to the CPU, but I don't see how that would make a difference. Thanks for the reply
  6. Another question I have is, does it matter what PCI slot my video card is in? I have it in the second slot because my sound card is right next to the first PCI slot and I've noticed that since I moved the video card in the second PCI slot, the temps for it have gone down 10-15C. I don't know if that's due to it being further from the sound card, or something to do with the performance. Does having it in the second PCI slot cost any performance? Here is my motherboard if it helps: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128423 Thanks in advance!
  7. Okay, so in my PC now I have an 80 gig Intel SSD with SATA II. I need a bigger drive to fit all my games and stuff. My question is, will I notice a difference with SATA III? My current SSD is blazing fast already. I don't do many file transfers, so that's not really what I'm looking for in performance. What I am looking for is noticiable application start up times, faster game loads, and faster Windows boot. Will I notice a difference in speed at all with SATA III? Here is my current drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167031 Here is the drive I want: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167042 Thanks in advance!
  8. Yea but I can never get enough modding. This guy on Youtube replaced the exhaust fans with with LED fans. I asked him what kind and what size but he never answered. Here's a picture of what I suspect they would look like: http://img.youtube.com/vi/LMDN-LdhVTk/hqdefault.jpg
  9. Hey I'm new to this site and it's the best pc site around, so I'm sure someone will have an answer to my question! I am purchasing the ASUS G73SW tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what size exhaust fans are on the back. I want to buy seperate ones with blue LED's because I'm an LED junkie haha. If anyone knows that would be great. Thanks
