IVIYTH0S Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Good choice on the 770...I'm sweating enough bullets worrying about my soon to arrive 30" 2560x1600 monitor and what it will do to my 7970 so you made the right choice getting the 770 over the 580. As for the PSU, you should be ok I think.

cchalogamer Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Total System power use using Anandtech's testing platform with a GTX 770 is ~310w. That's using an i7-4960X as the CPU. In other words your PSU would have to be having a pretty bad day to not be able to run a GTX 770 and a Q6600, you just might need an adapter to properly hook up the 8 pin cable though most GTX 770s come with one. WarWeeny Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 What worries me though, is that q6600 enough to let the gtx 770 go its way? i am afraid that the processor is seriously holding the gtx back.
IVIYTH0S Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I don't think it will hold it back much if at all
