  1. Exactly. Everyone moves on. It's just for the 'ol members, like me, is almost watching your mother dying slowly. I know it sounds dramatic but we've seen a lot of crap, helped thousands of gamers and shared hundreds and thousands of laughs. The one true and the most funniest was; "don't pet the Llamas" Let's not forget the time it took to write up reviews of the-said computer part (which I took on the role). Oh... And as busy this sight was the more Mods we needed that would be available around the clock. Which I also had that job here. Anyways....OCC was a huge part of my life back in 2004-2011
  2. Yep! "Do not pet the Llamas" It was a HUGE true occurrence that happened to him. Actually I believe there was a pinned thread about it
  3. Orrrr...... Being Attached or addicted to what's really important; social media. pffft
  4. I agree. What's hard to ingest for us old School guys is?....... technology evolves. Us old "people" knew it was going to happen. But personally feel saddened. As I said, occ was FLOODED with people asking for help. And occ/us were there for all to help to OC that chip. To Bosco? I will always be a dedicated member. All my best to you.
  5. I agree with the OP. I recall back in the day (I joined back in '04) this website was flooded with questions, answers, opinions, rants, raves, reviews and just plain being here. It was a glorious time back then. IMO, it's the sign of the times. As Bishop said some years back, people move on. Life changes, kinda sucks but...it is what it is. OCC is my very first Forum I've joined and I will always be here 'till the end!
  6. I felt the need to say to all the 'ol school guys including Bosco, Verran (RIP my brother), Hardng, Bishop. Wow..... There are so many of you guys I give a shout out!? It's almost impossible to name you all (or remember! LOL). Have a Merry Xmas and a fulfilling new year (if you are still with us)
  7. Oh lord. Has it been that long ago! Yea.... We are veterans of OCC. I think we deserve a gold watch. Or at least a bottle of prune juice. Hey Bosco, how about all the veterans get a badge. Anyways.... I don't wanna rob this thread from verran. Love ya pal.
  8. Lol... Epic stuff there. BTW... Thanks for reminding me how old I am.
  9. Holy crap!! I do remember the DFI street!! Genie and I sure had a love affair back then
  10. BTW....I opened my taco bar and Bishop opened up his bar. So free food and drinks for all. Stop on in and let's have a toast on Verrans life.
  11. Hey all. I'm sure most/all don't remember me, but anyways.... Im a OLD GUY from waaaaay back in the day. I recall I met him about 20 years ago. Verran is a cool guy. We talked a lot through pm's. So I raise my glass again to him.
  12. I think I have some EVGA GeForce GTX 760 Superclocks' laying around here somewhere
  13. If you're not familiar with OC'ng. I suggest NOT to mess around just yet. Play with it and get to know the HW you have. I personally don't think it's a good idea to "jump right in with 2 feet" a OC. ....slow down young gun. My advice is this; Know your parts. OCing isn't always better. Performance is what WE ALL NEED. after you get the performance, get the OC and let's push it!!! That's IMO of course....
  14. I will assume that you are on air. But you will need to give more details. Like; what exactly your OC'ng. Again, I'm assuming that you want to OC your CPU. Or your GPU. Basically give more details so most of us can help ya. In the meantime; Check out this guide
