I've seen vids on youtube of people getting it to a 4.7GHz stable so I'm guessing I'm being limited by my mobo. That might also be the reason I can't get my ram to clock to the 1066MHz that it should be able to get to. I have the ram settings set to 5-5-5-18 with 2.1v and cpu-z still shows it only running at a 400MHz. It's supposed to be 800MHz at stock settings so I don't know what's going on with that.

Honestly I have no idea what a cuda card is. I'm taking it the 2011 is the socket for the Intel cpu? I don't know a lot about Intel set up's since I have always used AMD so I would have to learn every thing about building the best system using Intel all over.

Were can I find it at?

I have only been able to get my 980 to a 4.0GHz stable with a Corsair H50 cooler. Am I doing something wrong or am I not doing something I should be doing?

I haven't seen a 4.0GHz class in the forums.

Currently I am running the MSI 785GT-e63 Motherboard with a AMD PhenomII x4 980 Black Edition3.7GHz True Quad-Core with 8.0 MB Total Cache CPU. Now I know that the CPU is a AM3 and the motherboard is a AM2+ which can hold the AM3 cpu's. I am thinking of upgrading to a AM3 motherboard with DDR3 memory versus the DDR2 that I'm currently using. Now here is my problem: I need to know what is the BEST AM3 motherboard that offers x16 SLI or Crossfire. Currently I'm running only 1 Nvidia GTX 560 Ti graphics Card and plan on adding a second for max performance. What motherboard would be best for this set up and allow easy safe overclocking?

Oh by the way what is OCDB?

LOL not really. I'm kinda addicted to upgrading my pc and seeing how far I can push it. All though I haven't been able to get the ram to clock at a 1066MHz like it's supposed to me able to clock to. Beside what I use my pc for doesn't matter and is irrelevant to the situation. I do a lot of mutli tasking and will be starting to use CAD programs soon for game modding.

Ok I recently got the MSI 785GT-E63 motherboard and now have a AMD Phenom II x4 980 3.7GHz cpu. So far I have been able to get it to a 4.0GHz stable. Even though I LOVE AMD I was wondering if I should switch to a Intel. They seem to be able to overclock higher and still be more stable. Any suggestions on this would be more than welcomed. Mind you that I am still using 8 gigs of DDR2 ram.

Hey guys! I'm new to this and thought I might post my stuff on here if you guys don't mind too much. Let me know what you thing of my rig. I'm having a hard time getting it to OC more that a 4.0GHz stable for some reason. I will post pics and cpu-z and Super Pi stats soon. Any suggestions that could help with the overclocking would be welcomed. I've seen this cpu get OC'ed to a 4.4GHz but can't seem to get mine there and be stable. Currently I have it is clocked at a 4.1 GHz, but I would love to be able to push it to the 4.4GHz limit.
