Futuremark rules state that the PPU option needs to be disabled for CUDA enabled nVidia cards. I noticed that the scores posted here are performed with the PPU option enabled. Is this fine for this thread? However PPU stands for "Physics Processing Unit" I think, and so it's the fact that Nvidia cards are PPU's as well that gets the extra points from the "Physix Test". I am pretty sure it's not CUDA thats getting the extra points as most programs have to be optimized to use that technology, other wise it seems the "CPU Test" would get much higher. EDIT: Does anyone else find it slightly amusing they build a benchmark to test "Physix" yet don't allow the use of "Physix Processing Units" for the results? LOL Why even have a test for it then. I normally disable PhysX both in the nVidia control panel and by checking the "Disable PPU" option in Vantage. It appears (from my initial testing at least), that if you disable the PPU it in Vantage alone (acceptable for both ORB and hwbot), you score a bit higher than having it disabled in nVidia's control panel. Maybe... just maybe, the video tests can reap a small but positive benefit from the PPU.
