In the 939 days all but two of the boards that i used in my personal rigs were DFI (One was a cheapy Gigabyte AGP board that was awesome for the $$ and the other outcast still lives in my server with a screwy layout but has been rock solid)...

I have 3 of the drives, all from passport essential enclosures and not a moments trouble out of them, even though one had a 1/4 can of Mt. Dew poured over it one day (drive was unplugged) Two of them run in my server as my movie drives ...

Also if it has a built in modem/is setup for a connection that requires login then you may need a username/pw in order to get it back up and running for the service. Or it could just work with no questions asked, you never know ...
