Well since there seam to be a lot of people playing World of Warcraft (WoW), I thought it would be good if we started another one of the "Official Discussion Threads" like we did for Kalonline and Half-Life 2.

We'll keep this thread open, until such time that a MMORPG Forum is created here at OCC. ;) Yes, the request has been made, we're just waiting on the man to get it done.

So, feel free to discuss WoW. Talk about your characters, the servers, the game, or anything else related to the World of Warcraft.

You can also keep in touch with other OCC Members who play WoW via the XFire messenger. And don't forget to list your character's information in this thread. ;)

I just hope people stop playing long enough to actually talk about the game. :P

Maybe when the servers are down, we'll see some discussion. :D

Hmmmm.... talk about the game.
Dont rush to hit 60! theres nothing to do except gather gear after that. Take your time and enjoy the game.
I stop playing and check forums all the time though. When im flying to a dif area :D
If anyone plays on aggramar though, give me a buzz, char name is Gholam. I have noticed the guild I'm in is full of computer geeks who talk about motherboards, chipsets, and video cards etc... all day, but I asked and none of them overclocks :/ various excuses ranging from "if I want better I buy better" to "I dont want to burn up my system".

Well now, been a while since I stopped by the forums here, but this gives me more reason to get back into it. ^_^

Anyway, I play on Uther ( 10 Chars. ) and Proudmoore ( 3 Chars. ) and I agree, rushing to 60 isn't the best idea, you'll find yourself getting bored quite quickly, only reason I'd say get at least one character to 60 is for farming, get lots of gold, start some new characters and spread the wealth, that way you can't get what you want, when you want it. :D

And remember, there is no one "best class," each character is only as good as the person playing it.

I suppose youve already uninstalled, reinstalled, and repatched a few times? possibly even tried somone elses CDs? And your watching the temps? Comp is prime95 and Memtest stable? if all thats a go then its some tiny little crap youll spend ages figuring out.
For the longest time I had horrible latency and couldnt figure out why. Turns out I was using ancient win 98 usb drivers for my cable modem. Got some new ones and WHAM all fixed. No other games ever had a problem with it though. Game is a bit picky. I installed the game at my friends house on his AMD 3500 comp, it worked great. Tried again later after a patch it it somehow screwed up while patching and then wouldnt work worth a darn.

I've had problems with WoW locking up my system form time to time.

Though I think that was mainly related to my OS. The system crashed a while back, and I never really did clean it up. Just installed Windows on top of itself to fix it at the time.

I finally got around to reinstalling last night. Hopefully I'll have WoW patched by the time I get home from work, and I can see if that fixed the issue. If not, then my problems could be related to heat or just WoW itself. Only way to find out for sure is to eliminate the problems. ;)

I think it's rather sad actually. All my time, only one character; I have alts, none of which I've spent a great amount of time on, many of which I would get into the teens and decided that I'm not going to play them any longer and then deleted.

My highest is 32. I really need to build on of my chars (I have 9 but most are pretty low level).

Ah, yeah, join the club on that one, I've gone through about 4 different iterations of "Kazuya." Warrior, Hunter, Warrior again and finally Mage.

My highest char is my level 45 Dwarf Paladin ( I've kinda been focusing on the Horde more lately ) and the rest of my 12 characters are all at various levels over 20.

Mages are fun to play, Rogues are as well, but I get frustrated with my Rogues quite quickly, so both of them are my lowest level chars on Uther.

I just recently started a Mage as my main alt. He's at lvl 22 right now. WoW is actually the first game where i've enjoyed playing a caster. Usually I stick the a warrior-ish character, which can be seen in my main character. ;)

/played for me shows: 20d 3h 20m 58s

Though I think that command only shows for that character.
