Ok, i FINALLY got my DVD drive and of course it doesn't work sad.gif I dunno what is up, i might be a power problem because it doesn't do anything when press the open tray button. It isn't recognised in the bios, i was looking in the section for hard drives, called IDE channels, channel 1 contains my Hard drive, but channel 2 is empty.
I have tried plugging the power lead in again and it seems to be in ok but it is hard to tell as there is no little click when it goes in. The wire itself should work because it is also connected to the hard drive which works and each line out of the psu is supposed to supply 10A which the hdd is definatly not pulling.
Do you guys have any ideas as to what it might be other than a power problem?

If it isn't recongized in the BIOS, try different ports

Basic Trouble Shooting
1. Power- Can you Open up the drive (Button) Does it spin up? Does it Light up?
If True, go to step 2, if false, it's a power problem

2. Since you can't see it in the BIOS, what sata port did you use? Did you use it on a 3rd party chipset?
