NCC10281982B Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Holy mother of video card! That thing is bigger then my keyboard.
Overclocker16 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 As far as I have heard and seen that card is the OEM card. 12" long. The retail card will be 9.5" long (which is just a tiny bit longer than the x1900xt).
sdy284 Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 As promising as this card looks, i really hope ati does something about their drivers... besides poor linux support, they're just not very friendly IMO
markiemrboo Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 As promising as this card looks, i really hope ati does something about their drivers... besides poor linux support, they're just not very friendly IMO This seems like a good start. I think I will give this new and improved version of CCC a go. Catalyst
Vasto Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Holy mother of video card! That thing is bigger then my keyboard. It looks like there is a 80mm fan attached to the end.
kingdingeling Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 dang thats one mother of a OEM vid card! I can't believe the retail one will just be a bit longer than the card I have in my rig right now
romeo55 Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 I think I have been quite lucky on the driver side of things. I actually seem to prefer ATi's drivers to nVidia's.... atis drivers have taken a turn in the late 6xx catalyst series... lots of things to change, while easy to use. Then the current nVidia drivers I have no are EXTREMELY dummified, If I want to force AA, I have to go to "advanced" options, and scour through the heap of settings that I don't even need to see... On Topic: That'd be interesting to see
gotdamojo06 Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 that is very large, I would almost not feel safe putting that SOB in my case, it may bring down the mobo, especially with my XP-90C HS on there already, too much weight IMO
SMeeD Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 http://www.hardocp.com/news.html?news=MjQ0...CxobmV3cywsLDE= 300 wats per card! I guess those 1k watt PSUs can be justified.
