Folding@Home is a distributed computing project which studies protein folding, misfolding, aggregation, and related diseases.

The Folding@Home project allows anyone with a computer and an internet connection to take part in the search. By using the computer while the owner is away, the F@H client is able to study the proteins and folding related diseases.

As with the SETI Team, we also come together here and discuss and share different points of view, review particularly interesting WU's that someone may have come across, or answer questions that anyone has (and ask a few ourselves, too, when we're stumped on something).

The easiest way to join the OverclockersClub.com Folding@Home Team is to use our very own Folding@Home installer. This program will download the latest F@H command line client from the Folding@Home servers, configure the settings, and install the client as a service (so it runs in the background).

To join the OverclockersClub.com Folding@Home team using the OverclockersClub.com Folding@Home Installer just follow these two easy steps:

1. Download and install the OCC Folding@Home client: http://www.overclock...oldingsetup.exe

2. When you run the setup, you will be asked for your user name. Enter the username you use on the Overclockers Club site (or forums). If you do not type your username, exactly how it is on our site.. you will not get credit for your work and will NOT be entered in to any of our Folding contests.

Additionally, if you want to download either the GUI or command line clients, and setup Folding@Home for yourself, please see the information provided at http://www.overclock...m/pages/occfah/

That's all there is to it! If you're running Windows XP/2K then Folding should already be running in the background on your computer. If you're running Windows ME/9X you will need to reboot, for folding to start working.
