Our first ever OCC Weekly Poll was back on Oct. 8th and we asked, Have You Ever Tried Firefox?

Out of 149 votes 92% said that they had tried Firefox.

Earlier this month, Mozilla released Firefox 1.0. Since this was hailed as a major milestone for Mozilla and Firefox, we're going to revisit Firefox in our poll.

This week, we want to know what your thoughts are about Firefox 1.0. Maybe you love it, or maybe you think it sucks. Or maybe you just aren't using it. ;) Let us know what your thoughts are.

actually still using 1.0 Preview Release, i guess they're essentially the same with maybe a few bugfixes rather than new features etc...

i wish Firefox (or any tabbed browser) was standard... man, i'd even like IE if it had tabs!!!!

I used it when my friends IE became rediculously swamped with spyware and stopped working. Firefox worked great.

So even though im still using IE, its nice to know that there is a good alternative like MFF.

I'm a little happier with it now that the extensions I use have had a chance to catch up with this version.

Firefox is a great alternative; it has been my main (and only browser) since it was named "Phoenix." My only con is I wish some extensions would work with it such as SwitchProxy. SwitchProxy does not work with ver 1.0.

I tried it, but it just doesn't offer anything to pull me away from Opera. B)

Im still using 1.0PR. I dont really see a reason to upgrade unless there is something that doesnt work with this browser, or they offer a function that 1.0PR cant do.
These stats don't matter, suffice it to say I've spent too much money on my computer.

There were over 250 bugfixes and some security updates between the PR version and the FF 1.0 release. Most non-bug or non-security fixes are "behind-the-curtain."

It works great better then the first verson that would often have problems and it say (were sorry but we have to close this program) every once and a while it would do this when I was even using it but it was up on sreen. Also the other verson wouldn t let me do irc on the occ for some reason. 1.0 does and when I logged in with the older verson I would see a white sreen then have to go up to the adress bar and click reload and it work. The new 1.0 I don t have to do that. The new one loads faster. Seems like the new one is 100% better then the older one. :)
