Today the next entry in the F1 franchise has been announced, with the appropriate title F1 2016. It will be coming to Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this summer, with the first gameplay being shown off at E3.

To help make F1 2016 a new step forward for the franchise, it will feature a new career mode, allowing players to build their racing legend across a ten-season career as they enjoy the improved on-track experience. The player will also get to experience the behind-the-scenes drama and vehicle development that goes on with real teams. You will be able to select the team you start your career with, and work to satisfy its goals and expectations. As you progress you will be able to earn contracts and move to other teams, unless you want to focus on one team and bringing it to the championship. The car upgrade system itself has been designed to mirror what actual racing teams go through. F1 2016 will also see the return of the Safety Car, and the addition of the Virtual Safety Car, along with other improvements that have not been announced yet. It is set to see the most new features than any other year for the franchise.
