Hi, I'm looking at the following laptop:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834725005

Would anyone recommend something else? I'm not all that clued up on gaming laptops and such, but the specs look good to me.

Thanks

That's an expensive laptop, for the hardware configuration.

If your looking for high FPS @ 1920X1080 with 17.3" laptop,. or 15.6" laptop @ 4K for a lot less money.

CyberPower is having a Christmas Sale,.. you can customize all hardware, compare specs/prices and get same or better hardware for less money.

Going to go with Braegnok on this one. For the hardware, that machine is overpriced (likely paying a lot for the 512GB SSD I guess?)

With CyberPowerPC, take a look at the FANGBOOK EVO HX7-200, which is priced at $1645 (and comes with a $50 VISA gift card), and contains much of the same hardware as the laptop you linked to in your initial post.

Why not just http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834232199

Not sure about Aorus, never heard the brand name before (but then again, what do i know :P ) Asus is a well-respected name known for quality. Bought one for my wife (who is a gamer) and after 6 months of use she is very happy with it.

A few other laptop places to check out:

http://www.sagernotebook.com/home.phpMy Sager was the second laptop of mine and I sold it to my ex's mom and it's still going strong (it's probably 6 years old now), I think it was Compal barebones underneath but the clevo machines are supposed to be pretty beast.

I had a CyberPowerPC laptop before this Dell and it died just out of warranty and they didn't care, it could have just been crappy luck with my Nvidia GPU but it left a sour taste in my mouth for them.

http://www.ibuypower.com/Site/Gaming-Laptophaven't heard any bad things from these guys, I think they buy other barebone systems and customize them like Cyber or Sager, just figured I'd offer for competition on pricing
