SpikeSoprano Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) gtx 970, best performance for the dollar ! But, not sure if your cpu choice would bottleneck it . Edited November 23, 2014 by SpikeSoprano
jdm_freek Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 I'd like to keep it low power and small form factor I was going to go with the elite 110 but it is way too small
jdm_freek Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 I was thinking maybe a two gig 750 Ti or possiblythe new 9 series low power cards when they come out like a 954
skoville Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) Why would a 8 core cpu bottle neck it? I've got the 9590, so I'm learning here, not hijacking. Can't afford a $350 card, either. IVIYTH0S Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Would a 7970/280x fit? That's probably the best you'll do in the price range

jdm_freek Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 I was thinking of more along the lines of a GTX 750 ti oR at most an r9
WarWeeny Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 A GTX 750TI sounds good, it has the performance to run modern games at a reasonable settings and resolution. Unless it is called ASSassins Creed unity, then that is a no go lol.
Minime 939 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 How about an R9-280, they have good performance and the prices have really been coming down lately.
Waco Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 I was thinking of more along the lines of a GTX 750 ti oR at most an r9 270I LOVE mine in my HTPC. I use it as a Steam Streaming host for my tablet and it performs awesome for non-maxed out gaming. Reasonable settings are fast and smooth.
