So I used to own the original Witcher but never played through it fully. Now, it along with the second are on sale. Debating on which one to purchase. The $2 is pretty negligible in the price difference, lol. What do you guys think? I'm assuming the second one is better, but to understand the story line do I need to go through the first too? Looking to get a game that will I'll be in for the long haul for cheap, and from what I remember about this first one, it was excellent.

They are both very good games, but you don't need the first game to follow what happens in the second. It would help, but it isn't needed. Choices from the first game can be loaded into the second though, impacting its story, so you know.

Hmmmm, interesting. I'm just trying to see if I should buy the first and second, or just the second. I don't want to buy so many games during this sale that I become a part of the statistic where no one opens the games in their library, lol. I'm not really into any game now, so looking to figure out a title that I can get into.

Grabbed the Farcry complete pack and The Witcher 2. I figured they wouldn't be getting much cheaper than they are now in the future.

Only things that tempted me today are Far Cry 3 and the Dead Rising 3 pre-purchase, but haven't purchased anything yet. Figured I'd see what tomorrow's are first.

I'm hoping for Rise of Nations, Age of Mythology, and Banished to be daily or CC deals. Maybe Final Fantasy III and VIII, Tropico 5, and Age of Wonders III, too.
