You can get the weeny out of the war, but you cannot get the war out of the weeny

Rest in peace my good old gtx 480, you deserved it

Thinks he has a weeny worthy of war.

How often do both companies release CPUs? Since intels probably going to charge $500s for a brand new CPU I'm just wondering if I should wait a bit to see what they offer or just buy the 8350.

the 4770k isnt $500 lol

the only processors hitting 500+ are the 6 cores of intel.

expect new processors around once every 1/1,5 year or so.

Just overclock a 8350 and you have the same thing, 5ghz on a cpu that shouldn't be running that high.

AMD has ben stated but those chips are really just overclocked Vishera chips so you could go with 8350 as the best alternative

11 to 12K is far from normal income,  That's below the poverty level and I would think that at that income level buying any computer parts would be the last thing on the list after food, lodging, and transportation. Not specifically in that order.

The national minimum wage of $7.75 nets over 16K for 40 hours. Even if it takes 2 jobs to get 40 hours.  Jobs that start at $11 an hour for 40 hours deliver 23K in compensation. My son was pulling in close to 30K with OT at $12 and hour.

If you notice he's not American so currency will obviously be different.

i think it is considered normal income because anything above that is a lot for my standards.

having a job with more than minimal income is rare let alone a job of 40 hours with 8+ an hour.

or better yet, even HAVING a job is rare these days :S

Pounds are very expensive .. I mean 11k pounds is a lot .. maybe 15-16k dollars?รง According goverment currency exchange rate (we have $AR here) I think an average can be making 20k per year) but the real dolar price (there is an unoficial dollar being sold at streets, goverment does not allow people to buy dolar) is much higher so that would be 14k per year. However if you live in USA and you pay $300 for a processor, the price here will be practically $600. Technology cost almost the double of the original price because of tax and import costs... so for us, the hardware is pretty expensive. You could buy a pretty decent gaming PC with the hole salary of the month if you want the ultimate then you might spend 2 or 3 salaries.. a lot! When I bought my PC in 2010 it cost me 2 salaries but well i was winining very low.. now im pretty good but if I would have had a decent normal salary it would have costed 1 salary and a half, instead 2.
